Zion Lampley

A law student passionate about family law issues, Zion has firsthand experience seeing the many shortcomings of the legal system, especially in regard to African American minors and their lack of access to proper legal representation. As a fervent advocate for youth, Zion looks to pursue his law degree to ensure he can help change the lives of youth who are denied their right to justice through no fault of their own. We are humbled to provide Zion with financial assistance on his academic journey.

Andrew Cores Family Law Group is proud to offer its Future Lawyers Scholarship for the Fall 2024 semester. This scholarship, which awards one student the generous sum of $2,000, runs each semester and is now accepting applications for Fall 2024. Andrew Cores Family Law Group is proud to stand behind and support the future generation of lawyers by offering this scholarship. We understand the immense cost of attending law school and are humbled to support these hardworking students in any way possible.

Since our scholarship was launched in the Fall of 2022, we have awarded $6,000 and counting to well-deserving law students passionate about their legal studies. We feel passionate about investing resources and energy into the legal community, both for the advancement of future attorneys and to support the legal profession. We believe that by providing financial support to one student each semester, we are assisting students in a way that will hopefully make their legal career aspirations more attainable.

Sharon L. Genalen

Sharon understands and cares about the you in the process as well as your outcome, not just the end of the game. A child of divorce herself, Sharon is familiar with the impact of divorce and its attendant issues on a family, both short-term and long-term. She focuses her advocacy on conflict resolution and puts you first every step of the way.

Sharon has committed herself to advocacy in family law since the inception of her professional career. Having lived in Illinois her whole life and being raised by a social worker and an accountant, a career in family law came naturally. Sharon earned her legal degree at Loyola Chicago School of Law with a Certificate in Child and Family Law. She brings to the table a unique background in child welfare law, school law, adoption, and matrimonial law, before she zeroed in on the parenting concerns and financial complexities associated with all divorce and parentage cases.

Sharon is an award-winning attorney in Family Law, having been named a Rising Star by SuperLawyers since 2021. Since 2017, Sharon has been named as an Emerging Lawyer by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company for consecutive years, which is a distinction earned by fewer than two percent of all attorneys licensed to practice law in Illinois. Sharon currently practices mediation as well as traditional dissolution actions and serves DuPage, Cook, Will, Kane, and Kendall Counties. Sharon also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in DuPage County.
